Teaching of the BUDDHA at Isipatana near Benares: Dukkha, Samudaya and Nirodha

5.The noble truth of Dukkha, affliction,is this: birth, old age, sickness, death, grief, lamentation, pain, depression and agitation are Dukkha. Dukkha is be being associated with with what you do not like, being separated from what you do like, and not being able to get what you want.

6. The noble truth of Samudaya, response to affliction, is this: it is thirst fro self-recreation which is associated with greed. It lights upon whatever pleasure are to be found here and there. It is sense for, being and non being .

7. The noble truth of Nirodha, containment, is this: it is the complete capturing of that thirst. It is to let go of, be liberated from and refuse to dwell in the object of that thirst.
